In the world of design, where trends change every season and technology chases novelty, it's easy to forget the most important thing – the soul. That which makes a space become a home, and an object a work of art. It is precisely this philosophy that we discuss with Matthew Poradzisz, the founder of Prostyle World, a visionary and craftsman who combines world-class design with the mastery of Polish craftsmanship.
Prostyle Magazine: Matthew, you've created the Prostyle World brand, which combines three seemingly different worlds: artisanal furniture production, a design lab with VR technology, and a design magazine. Where did the idea for such an integrated ecosystem come from?
Matthew Poradzisz: It all started with frustration and passion. For years, I worked in London, absorbing global design and the latest technologies. At the same time, I have always been connected to craftsmanship, to the smell of wood and the touch of steel. I saw a huge gap between the world of an architect's virtual vision and the world of a craftsman's physical work. Designers created beautiful pictures, and clients waited anxiously to see if the final result would be even half as good. I decided to tear down that wall. I created Prostyle World so that this process could be one, seamless, and transparent journey.
PM: You often talk about "design with a soul." What does that mean to you?
MP: For me, "design with a soul" is a space that is authentic. Authenticity comes from two things. Firstly, from the material. We use real wood, stone, metal – materials that have their own history and that age beautifully. We don't accept imitations. Secondly, from the process. Our client is not just an observer. Thanks to the VR technology in our Design Lab, they become a co-creator. They can step into their project, feel its scale and ergonomics. This eliminates risk and makes the final product truly theirs – well-thought-out, tested, and fitted like a bespoke suit. The soul is precisely this synergy – the truth of the material and the certainty of the vision.
PM: Your story is inextricably linked with London and Poland. How do these two worlds influence the character of Prostyle World?
MP: This is the DNA of our brand. London taught me an uncompromising approach to design, innovation, and thinking on a global scale. It was there, in collaboration with my brothers, also craftsmen, that we understood what world-class means. But the heart and hands of our company are in Poland. Here, we have access to an incredible heritage of craftsmanship, to people for whom working with wood or metal is a passion passed down from generation to generation. Prostyle World combines a London vision with a Polish artisanal soul. And that, in my opinion, is an inimitable combination.
PM: Finally, what is your greatest ambition for Prostyle World?
MP: I want Prostyle World to become synonymous with conscious luxury. A luxury that isn't about a logo, but about the experience, quality, and authenticity. I want our clients, when they enter their homes, to feel a sense of calm and certainty that they are surrounded by a space created without compromise, with passion and deep respect – for them and for the craft itself. We want to create interiors that don't just look, but above all – that are.
